Kabasaran

Traditional Minahasa war dance with sword. The dancers wear brightly red colored clothes, their eyes bulging and wide open, their faces ferrocious, accompanied by drums while holding a sword and sharp spear make the kabasaran dancers much different from other dances in Indonesia, that generally are performed with a smile and graceful loose movements. The Kabasaran dance is also called Cakalele.
